Get F&RKING Crazy for Results

Finding success with consistency, cringe and showing up.

I’m so forking tired of the results. Honestly, I’m exhausted. We’ve all felt this way as we build our business, whether it's scaling our users, implementing revenue, or building teams. Most often, it’s in our promotion. Am I right, founders?I’ve been leading marketing and sales development for new and growing businesses for over fifteen (15!%$) years now, and there is definitely one consistent. Everyone, except the criminally insane, quit RIGHT BEFORE THE RESULTS. Even the companies that are “successful” often aren’t able to outlast themselves into the black (Cough, Cough WeWork and Theranos). What separates Elizabeth Holmes from Elon Musk isn’t just a little bit crazy; it’s a cringey level of commitment that we only typically see from TV serial killers (Remember that Hannibal Lecter, what a great guy). Famously, Elon Musk funded a bridge loan with ALL OF HIS MONEY on Christmas Eve to keep Tesla afloat. While the jury is still out if Tesla will ever get to black, his behavior has repeatedly driven businesses to success. Tesla allowed him to fund a takeover of X. Starlink fueled the growth of Space X (and now is on pace to dominate the global internet). So where is the actual lesson for you? It’s pretty simple.

We all feel a bit crazy and dejected from our work. Hell, I do, nearly ALL THE TIME. But then we get a message from someone we respect, appreciating us. Or we see slight market movement in our business. Or the new employee gets the ad campaign set to deliver all of a client’s q1 goals. The bottom line is that to be relevant, visible, and appreciated at mass, we need to ship on brand every day, all day. because the breakthrough is likely just around the corner. In my first career (I’ve had a few), I was a top salesperson, like #3 out of 17k consistently. I had one secret I stole that made me successful. No matter what, I always hit one more stop. At the end of the day, after the big sale, after a rejection, on my way to the doctor…I took one last stop. Why? I knew Luck was where preparation meets opportunity. Which call do you think had the best results? This is the weekly invoice where I remind you that results don’t come cheap, and we can either appreciate ourselves or go crazy trying. The bottom line is, there’s something valuable here, and I appreciate your readership, comments, and shares more than you ever know. This newsletter is my last stop. Thank you, G
