I am the distribution business....
and it's email marketing.
The most essential things in business are so basic it’s easy to forget them. Communication is distribution, which is your business's primary (nervous) system. Last week I teased that we’ve been developing a channel that is reshaping (ours and) our client’s go to market. In 2025 it’s all about email marketing. Or, more accurately, it’s all about scaleable, automated messaging. Why is it new and exciting again? Because of AI. (audible groans ensue)

No, we’re not writing emails with AI. That’s stupid. We’re leveraging AI to create qualifying, nurture and retargeting messaging automations at scale. We’ve been following the sales bros (imagine that) who are re-inventing themselves with completely automated sales prospecting and messaging funnels, turning themselves into one call close machines. What are our results? We can take a social post, add it to a workflow (of 6-8 SaaS tools), and convert 5-10 ideal customers monthly for under $300 a month(in tech costs) from a single post. The secret… it’s not even our social post! We’re leveraging (niche and) large creators content as a thirst trap which we qualify our ideal customers from.

First, we scrape. Our socially engaged, chronically online team constantly builds lists, subscribes, and creates notifications for creators who speak to our (and clients’) primary audiences. Then we qualify. We use Clay, custom AI agents, and SaaS tools to enrich customer data, segmenting through their social, public information, and (of course) preferred communication channels. This creates audience segments. Because we’re hyper-segmented, our top-scoring audiences are pushed to Smartleads for custom outreach sequences. Leveraging Framer landing pages, we anchor every campaign into the right conversion point. Currently, it’s a one-call close, but we’re working on moving to a click-to-pay conversion with our marketing subscription. Our warm marketing takes over from Active Campaign, and we’re nurturing pre- and post-call, ensuring that leads are moved into a simple, single offer or retargeted into (this very) newsletter. While our conversions grow, most of the channel costs and management are static. Once we’ve established our identity and offer, here is the maintenance plan. New Audiences added 2x per quarter.Content changes 2x per month. Floss daily.

Creating and nurturing agents, qualifiers, identity, and offers is a significant challenge, one that we expedite with paid acquisition.
